Allergic reactions to fish oil will be experienced by anyone who is allergic to any seafood, be it fish or shellfish. Any fish oil and krill oil must be avoided.
Allergic symptoms include eczema (itchy skin rash), hives, asthma and anaphylactic shock. As explained by the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America, anaphylaxis is a life-threatening allergic reaction affecting the whole body, resulting in a very wide range of symptoms from plummeting blood pressure to fainting or convulsions.
Do not take any fish oil or krill oil if you are allergic to seafood.
